Horan keeps a lid on hype

YOU gotta like this James Horan guy.

With his team written off prior to this All-Ireland quarter-final, the Mayo manager could have stomped down a familiar path afterwards and chastised the media and everyone else for their lack of faith but there was none of that.

There was no triumphalism. No beaming smiles, clenched fists or idle talk, just a nice turn in self-deprecating wit and a down-to-earth mindset that has already filed away yesterday’s events and moved on towards today’s warm-down and tomorrow’s training session.
