KILDARE’S Ronan Sweeney took to Twitter yesterday to vent his frustrations at the square ball decision which cost his team a goal and contributed to their failure to reach an All-Ireland semi-final.

“Either abolish the square ball rule altogether or find people who can actually understand it,” said Sweeney who was still on the bench when Tomas O’Connor’s effort was ruled out after half-time.

Sweeney’s public expression of frustration follows on from similar declarations on Twitter from a number of Wexford players after their controversial round four qualifier loss to Limerick last week.
