While the Kingdom are odds-on to end Limerick’s championship adventure in Sunday’s All-Ireland quarter-final, O’Sullivan points to the history books to warn against foregone conclusions.

He said: “Everybody said we would beat Down too at the same stage last year, and look what happened. We got to Croke Park and didn’t perform. The next thing we knew we were watching the rest of the championship from home. We don’t want that to happen again.”
