Murphy doubt for Wexford

WEXFORD captain and centre-back David Murphy is doubtful for Saturday’s Qualifier clash with Limerick.

Murphy received a back injury during his club’s, St Mary’s (Rosslare), IHC defeat by Liam Mellows (Coolgreany) on Thursday evening last.

Murphy was unable to participate in squad training on Sunday morning as he still undergoes treatment. He has also attended a cryotherapy session in Whites Hotel as the team management anxiously await a progress report on the extent of the injury.

Manager Jason Ryan said they will access the injury over the week but will wait as long as possible before making a decision on the centre-back’s fitness.
