THE demand for tickets for a championship match involving Wicklow’s footballers has reached an unprecedented level this week.

Wicklow are due to meet Armagh in Aughrim on Saturday in a replay of their qualifier match after the counties drew in Armagh last weekend.

In the interest of safety and easy access and egress, Croke Park has limited the ground’s capacity to 5,000 and made it all-ticket. However Wicklow fans have snapped up 4,000 of those tickets in just two days of them going on sale with long queues outside the GAA office in Arklow throughout the day yesterday.
