Winning a provincial title for the second successive year before and estimated 8,000 spectators declared that Dublin are emerging as a powerful force on the hurling scene having already won the provincial minor hurling title and the national league.

The convincing manner in which they achieved this victory will have plenty believing that they can now go on and contest for the All-Ireland title.
