DUBLIN’S Liam Rushe makes history tomorrow evening when he is the focus for the first player camera to be used in Gaelic games.

The option has long been a staple diet of Sky Sports’ soccer coverage and will make its GAA debut for the Bord Gáis U21 Leinster hurling final between Dublin and Wexford at Wexford Park, which is being televised live by TG4 (7.30pm).

“An exciting player like Liam Rushe is a great contender for its first outing,” said former Cork goalkeeper and Bord Gáis sponsorship manager Ger Cunningham, “and it will allow younger hurlers to study the individual skills of inter-county players as well as giving viewers a different perspective on the game.”
