AIDAN O’MAHONY fears another innocent inter-county GAA player will fail a drugs test because of what he believes is a lack of clarity about banned substances.

The Kerry defender, who was cleared of using Salbutamol as a performance enhancer in 2009, called on the Irish Sports Council to improve their methods of informing players.

“Fair enough, they [the testers] come around to training sessions now but they’re a lot stricter,” said O’Mahony. “If someone has the flu I think they can take Lemsip Plus but not Max Strength... something like that.
