Dandelion’s after-party jumps the gun

OWNERS of a Dublin city nightspot were left with egg on their faces yesterday aftr they were forced to apologise for promoting a celebration reception for the Dublin hurlers after their Leinster final on Sunday.

The Dandelion Bar had to issue a clarification following their announcement that the public were invited “to celebrate with the team from 7.30pm” after the game against defending champions Kilkenny.

Their press released read: “Following contact from the sporting authorities connected with Sunday’s Leinster SHC final, it seems that Dandelion Bar, St Stephen’s Green inappropriately made a press announcement regarding a post-match reception. The management at Dandelion Bar acted in good faith when issuing the release, but regret any inconvenience caused to all parties concerned.”
