Cuthbert drafts in Cronin, Murphy and Cadogan for Tipperary clash
Stephen Cronin, who is still only U16, is drafted in at left corner-back with Nemo Rangers clubmate Kevin Fulignati moving to the edge of the square as the injured Conor Dorman makes way. At midfield Darragh Murphy replaces Kevin Kavanagh while Alan Cadogan will start at centre-forward as David Harrington makes way.
The absence of the injured duo Dorman and Luke Prendergast paves the way for Kevin Hayes-Curtin and Killian O’Hanlon, who both started in the first round victory over Clare, to reclaim places in the squad by being named amongst the substitutes.
Opponents Tipperary have made two alterations in personnel for the game. Colin O’Riordan comes in at half-back with Bill Maher moving to wing-forward as Dean Lonergan makes way. Philip Quirke is introduced to the team at centre-forward as Ian Fahey is shifted to midfield instead of Darragh Butler. John Meagher and John McGrath are notable inclusions amongst the substitutes.
The Cork county board will be holding a public sale of terrace tickets for next Sunday’s games in Killarney, plus a very limited number of stand and family tickets, today from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Páirc Uí Rinn.
Meanwhile Dublin attacking star Bernard Brogan last night insisted on Twitter that he was fouled by Kildare defender Aindriú MacLochlainn which lead to the controversial free that he pointed to hand Dublin victory in last Sunday’s Leinster semi-final in Croke Park.
Brogan tweeted: ‘‘I was impeded running for the ball in a one on one, that’s a free in my book, end of.’’
