Harte turns down interview with RTÉ

MICKEY HARTE turned down a request to speak to RTÉ following Tyrone’s Ulster SFC semi-final defeat to Donegal in Clones on Sunday.

However, RTÉ sources believe his refusal to cooperate with them had nothing to do with his recent boycott of the national broadcasters in protest at the treatment of his friend and journalist Brian Carthy.

It is not unusual for an inter-county manager not to speak to broadcasters, especially following a loss.
