Conroy gives punters comfort

GALWAY punters may have got their hands burnt by Mayo on Sunday but they at least saved a few bob when Paul Conroy netted for the Tribesmen.

Mulholland Bookmakers, who employ Conroy and goalkeeper Adrian Faherty, vowed to refund all losing bets if Paul scored a goal or Faherty saved a penalty.

It cost the bookmaker, owned by county U21 boss Alan Mulholland, €10,000.
