Model pre-match re-boot

SOME of Wexford’s top footballers had quick boot changes before the throw in of yesterday’s Leinster SFC semi-final win over Carlow.

Manager Jason Ryan said such an approach is commonplace in the modern game.

He said: “We weren’t aware of what the surface was like with the new pitch at Croke Park. It was very wet when we played there last year and, Dublin apart, few teams have played on Croke Park on a consistent basis this season.
