Lynch nets some cash with opening goal

DERRY’S victory over Armagh yesterday was also a monetary success for Mark Lynch, above, who backed himself to score the first goal.

In a post-match interview, man-of-the-match Eoin Bradley claimed the forward had put money on himself to register the score, which he managed to do in the 30th minute.

“Mark Lynch had a tenner on himself at 14-1 to score the first goal,” said Bradley.
