Walsh fit for Leinster final

TOMMY WALSH is expected to be fit for Kilkenny’s Leinster final against either Dublin or Galway on July 3.

Brian Cody confirmed the former Hurler of the Year’s shoulder injury is not serious.

Cody explained “If we had played him (on Saturday) we were running the risk of further injury and we just don’t want that.

“We want Tommy, he’s very fit and he’s done all the physical training.

“He’s working away, but he has a slight shoulder problem at the moment that is not serious from a long-term point of view.

“The expectation and the hope is that Tommy will be able to go in a week’s time.”
