A ROW has broken out in Galway football after a Connemara club was thrown out of the county SFC.

Micheal Breathnachs defeated Mountbellew/Moylough but were kicked out for fielding a sub who was deemed ineligible. Mountbellew/Moylough lodged an appeal over Tommy Conneely — who was told he didn’t have clearance to play at senior level as his home club is junior A side Na Piarsaigh.

However, he was granted special permission to play for his neighbouring club Micheal Breathnach’s at U21 grade.
