O’Grady calls for overhaul

LIMERICK boss Donal O’Grady has proposed an overhaul of the current national hurling league structures to improve the competitiveness of the secondary competition.

O’Grady calls for overhaul

O’Grady believes two divisions should be created, each comprising of six teams, with the bottom side in Division One playing off with the top side in Division Two at the end of each campaign in a promotion-relegation play-off.

The issue has generated plenty debate over the past few months with counties like Limerick and Clare having been involved in hugely lopsided matches at Division Two level this spring.
