Harte pays tribute to Tyrone’s old guard

TYRONE manager Mickey Harte was last night singing the praises of the old guard, the men who stood firm and used their experience to guide the Red Hands safely through another championship battle.

The main men were the long-serving trio of Stephen O’Neill, Brian McGuigan and Conor Gormley, who rolled back the years to stamp their authority and class on a tricky first round tie.
