Owens’ positive thinking

RELEGATION from the Allianz Football League Division Three could well be seen as a negative for most people but for Waterford manager John Owens, the positives from the campaign far outweigh the negatives.

And with Cork on the horizon, he must stay positive. Last year’s 14-point defeat to the Leesiders set an emerging Déise outfit back on their heels but Owens is hoping they’ll show their true form tomorrow.

“We have played them a number of times, we have watched them and we know what they are capable of,” he said.
