From a Munster minor final at the outset of his Kingdom defensive career to last July’s senior decider in Killarney, Ó Sé is well-versed in the capabilities of Treaty football teams. The absence of the inspirational Croom man John Galvin from the Limerick ranks has not swayed his opinion on this latest clash.

“It might sound clichéd but they’ve always given us serious battles. I remember as a minor playing Limerick in a Munster final and we were very lucky to beat them. Afterwards a lot of them came on to be formidable players at senior level.
