McGrath expected to be fit

TIPPERARY boss Declan Ryan revealed that midfielder Shane McGrath should be fit for their Munster SHC semi-final clash with Clare on June 19, despite coming off with a knee injury during yesterday’s quarter-final win over Cork in Thurles.

McGrath expected to be fit

McGrath had been a fitness doubt in the run up to the game after incurring a problem to his knee in a recent challenge game against Dublin in Athy.

The Ballinahinch player aggravated the knock in the second-half yesterday and was withdrawn in the 40th minute with James Woodlock, who was sidelined for the championship last year with a serious knee injury, coming on as a replacement. Yet it is not expected to threaten McGrath’s participation for the game in the Gaelic Grounds in three weeks’ time.
