Cork in qualifiers action on June 18 or June 25

The identity of five of the six teams to contest the early stages of the qualifiers is now known. Laois and Carlow, who were both defeated in the first round of the Leinster championship, will be joined by Cork, Offaly and Antrim, the latter duo having lost out in provincial quarter-finals ties yesterday.

The final team will be known next Saturday when Galway face Westmeath in a last-eight Leinster Championship tie at Cusack Park, Mullingar. The loser of that game will go into the draw along with the other five teams to determine who will contest the two All-Ireland qualifier preliminary round games on June 18. Four teams will be drawn out to face off on that day with home venues being granted to the first team drawn out for each pairing.
