Victory key for McKeever

ARMAGH captain Ciaran McKeever doesn’t mind stomaching a game of ‘puke football’ as long as the Orchard County beat Down in tomorrow’s Ulster championship quarter-final.

The tone for this year’s Ulster championship was set by that dour and defensive contest between Donegal and Antrim, and McKeever won’t make any apologies if their match against Down follows a similar pattern.

“People have been giving out about the standard of play and packed defences, but at the end of the day its results that count,” he said at the launch of the VHI Cul camps yesterday.
