Miller blasts Leinster Council for children’s ticket prices

FORMER Laois chairman Dick Miller has revealed there is serious disquiet in the county about the price of children’s tickets for Sunday’s Leinster SFC preliminary round double-header in Portlaoise.

Miller blasts Leinster Council for children’s ticket prices

As part of the stand family ticket package (one adult and two children), the Leinster Council are charging €5 per child aged 16 or under, irrespective of how young they are. Concern about opposition to the admission cost for kids was signalled at the Laois v Antrim SHC game last weekend when a number of people with children reportedly walked away from O’Moore Park when asked to pay.

Now Miller expects there will be complaints about the measure when Laois take on Longford and Kildare face Wicklow on Sunday.
