Mayo’s strategic plan adopted
The plan was branded “a missed opportunity” on Monday by members of a committee chaired by broadcaster Liam Horan which published a controversial review of Mayo GAA last year. The revised plan — which ditched Horan’s call for a financial audit and the establishment of two full-time positions — was described as bereft of “big dramatic ideas” by Burrishoole’s Pat McManamon and lacking in financial detail by Ballinrobe delegate Alan Flannery, but was passed after brief debate.
