AS he walked off the pitch in Páirc Uí Rinn five weeks ago after watching his Cork minor football charges defeat Clare by five points, Brian Cuthbert felt it would not be the last time his side’s path would cross with the Banner outfit.

His suspicions have proved correct and tonight he will take his team to Ennis for the Munster semi-final to face a Clare team that have been rejuvenated after beating Waterford and Limerick in the back door stages.

“Clare gave us a very difficult game that night in the first round and we felt they were best placed to come through the back door,” said Cuthbert.
