Darragh returns as Ó Sé brothers lift Gaeltacht

DARRAGH Ó SÉ made his first appearance of the season for An Ghaeltacht as they edged out All-Ireland junior champions, St Mary’s, in the Kerry intermediate championship at Gallarus on Saturday evening (0-11 to 0-9).

His brothers, Marc and Tomás, impressed for the victors as did Ronan Ó Flathárta who had the better of the exchanges with Kerry senior Bryan Sheehan. An Ghaeltacht led 0-4 to 0-2 at the break having played with a strong wind but they defended heroically after three massive Sheehan points levelled the contest (0-9 apiece) with five minutes left.

However, with the Ó Sé’s leading by example, An Ghaeltacht finished in style as two late points from Ó Flathárta and Daithi MacGearailt set up a semi-final meeting with Milltown/Castlemaine who defeated John Mitchels (0-15 to 1-9).
