O’Leary points to Cork’s experience and coolness

CONSIDERING it was a league campaign that started in controversy for Noel O’Leary, the Cill na Martra man could have been easily forgiven for basking in yesterday’s victory.

It’s not in his make-up, though. Sitting in the post-match press conference alongside the rightful man of the match Patrick Kelly, the softly-spoken defender was only too happy to acclaim the centre-forward’s brilliance.

Privately, he might have been thinking just how sweet it was after being — perhaps unfairly — sent off against Kerry in Tralee and subsequently handed a four-week suspension.
