GALWAY U21 boss Alan Mulholland said he was on a high for three days after winning the Connacht title — but was brought crashing back to earth when he saw Cork demolish Kerry in the Munster final.

Galway had nine points to spare over Roscommon in the Connacht final, but Cork destroyed Kerry by 22 and will be favourites when they meet the Tribesmen in Saturday’s semi-final at Ennis.

“I was delighted for about three days, until I went down to see the Munster final,” said Galway manager Alan Mulholland.
