O’Sullivan’s down but not out

KERRY defender Tom O’Sullivan will be free to play in their Munster championship opener against Tipperary on May 22 if he is handed a four-week ban for his dismissal in last Sunday’s Division 1 league tie against Down.

O’Sullivan’s down but not out

O’Sullivan saw the line following an off-the-ball incident with Down substitute Eoin McCartan.

Suspensions only carry between league and championship if the next game falls within the time of the ban. But with Kerry’s tie with Tipperary taking place six weeks after the Down match, O’Sullivan should be available for selection for manager Jack O’Connor.
