McEnaney feels the strain as Coyle lays into Royals

MEATH All-Ireland winner Colm Coyle last night heaped more pressure on Royals boss Seamus McEnaney after another damaging league Division Two defeat yesterday in Derry.

The Royals face the ignominy of relegation to Division Three after a second half Celtic Park capitulation which McEnaney admitted was “the most disappointing half hour of football I’ve ever managed”.

McEnaney said: “There’s no excuses to play the way we played, or rather didn’t play, in the second half. To be six points up against that breeze and end up getting beaten is disappointing.”
