Walsh wants league to be restructured
Following his side’s 1-14 draw with Tipperary, which left both teams out of the running for the league title, he wondered would a 12-team division work better.
“The league is run okay but ideally I believe there should be 12 teams allowed to compete in Division 1,” said the Rebel County manager.
“You would have the eight that are there already plus Limerick, Clare, Antrim and Laois.
“Two groups of six with the top two in each section qualifying for the two semi-finals with relegation play-offs at the other end of the table.
“I think that would improve the league as a whole in the long term.”
