Donnellan delivers as Maynooth bounce back

MARK DONNELLAN’S haul of 1-9 secured an historic All-Ireland title for Maynooth Post Primary School in Tipperary on Saturday.

Donnellan, Kildare’s minor goalkeeper last year, scored the only point of the second period of extra-time to see off the challenge of a spirited Schull Community College from West Cork at Sean Treacy Park.

Donnellan starred at midfield before injury forced his switch to full-forward, but it didn’t lessen his scoring exploits.
