Cody: More important things to be praying for than winning

BRIAN CODY has lifted the lid on his spirituality that has helped him lead Kilkenny to seven All-Ireland SHCtitles as manager.

In The Meaning of Life with Gay Byrne set to be screened on RTÉ One tomorrow night, Cody gives his most revealing interview, articulating how much his Catholic faith has helped him since taking the helm in late 1998.

Cody has been known to lead prayers with friend, former Kilkenny player Fr Tom Murphy, on the morning of All-Ireland finals. However, he admits he has ‘never prayed for a win’.
