Hogan back battling for his place

NO time for self-pity for O’Loughlin Gaels defender Brian Hogan in the wake of the St Patrick’s Day All-Ireland Club senior hurling final loss.

In that game the Gaels were in pole position as half-time approached but a five-point lead somehow became a 12-point loss. A week later, the pain still raw, Brian is already back training with Kilkenny in preparation for this Sunday’s vital league game against Waterford.

“Disappointing,” he said of the club loss, “one of those things and it will take a while to get over.
