Rich getting richer as poor get poorer, hardly coincidence

If Dublin and Cork are the two wealthiest county boards in the country, then is it just another coincidence that their football teams are sitting at the top of Division One?

IN this year’s Annual Report, the GAA’s director-general Páraic Duffy floated an idea which appears to make a great deal of sense.

Duffy believes that county boards should be allowed to keep every penny they receive when hosting National League games. When Duffy unveiled this suggestion at a press conference in Croke Park last week my initial reaction was extremely positive.
