Donegal’s McLoone has broken leg

DONEGAL’S league and championship hopes have been dealt a blow with the news that centre-back Leo McLoone has broken a leg in a club game.

The 21-year-old is due to undergo surgery tomorrow in the Beacon Hospital in Dublin having suffered the injury in a Comortas Peile na Gaeltachta game between his club Naomh Conaill and Termon on Sunday.

“The ankle is broken and to make matters worse and to compound the injury he also dislocated the ankle,” said Donegal manager Jimmy McGuinness.
