Irish Examiner comes out top for camogie coverage

THE Irish Examiner was recognised as the leading paper in the country for camogie coverage at Croke Park on Saturday night.

Therese O’Callaghan collected the RTÉ Mick Dunne memorial award for national coverage of camogie on behalf of the paper at the camogie association’s media awards.

Wexford journalist Dean Goodison received the published work award for his book ‘I Gotta Feeling’ which recounted the county’s 2010 All-Ireland-winning camogie season.

Wexford PRO, Barbara Ryan, was named PRO of the year while photographer Caroline Quinn picked up the photograph of the year award.

Other awards were presented to Clare FM (local radio); the Offaly Express (provincial newspaper); Dublin Camogie Board (website) and Armagh County Camogie Board (programme).
