DEFENDING Leinster and All-Ireland U21 football champions Dublin forfeited their titles at Pairc Tailteann, Navan last night as Meath made a late recovery.

Meath made a whirlwind start to lead by 0-4 to 0-0 after six minutes and even though Dublin managed to reduce the deficit to the minimum with a couple of Dean Rock frees, the Royals regained control to hold a double scores (0-10 to 0-5) advantage.

With Rock continuing to slot over frees, Dublin battled back in the second period and appeared to have the win in the bag, leading by two on 59 minutes.
