Mayo fans to be given action plan
Members of the Action Plan Steering committee and sub-committees will be at the stadium to hand out copies of the plan and answer questions about the 75 recommendations that have been proposed as part of a ‘root and branch’ review of Mayo GAA.
Liam Horan, the Chairman of the Strategic Action Plan steering committee, has called on every GAA club in Mayo to read and discuss the document, before voting on it at a board meeting later this month.
“We’d ask clubs to look at the recommendations, hold meetings to discuss what’s being proposed, and look at this as a document for change,” said Horan. “People have to remember that they should vote yes for change, vote no for the status quo.”
Mayo, meanwhile, will be without two-thirds of their first-choice full-forward line for the game. James Horan lost Alan Freeman to a broken bone in his hand 10 days ago and has now been forced to plan without Enda Varley who damaged shoulder ligaments in last Friday’s FBD Connacht League final.
