Fennell given go-ahead to join Vincent’s

EAMON FENNELL last night, by a clear majority, got the green light from the Dublin County Board to move clubs from O’Tooles to St Vincent’s.

The county board management committee’s recommendation to back the Blues midfielder’s switch guarantees him inter-county football this year as he had refused to play for O’Tooles.

It also should bring to an end the 26-year-old’s four-year battle to leave his home club.
