CLARE secured their first brace of league points when they crushed Kilkenny in Saturday’s Allianz NFL Division Four tie at Miltown Malbay.

A 28 points difference at the final whistle indicated the gulf in class between the sides as the hosts took control from the opening minute after full-forward Cathal O’Connor had the ball in the net.

Clare led 3-6 to 0-1 at the break with O’Connor and Shane Brennan both netting.
