Wicklow get the better of 13-man Leitrim

LEITRIM finished with 13 men as Wicklow collected the points at Carrick-on-Shannon yesterday.

The hosts had midfielder Tomas Beirne red-carded in the 7th minute and went down to 13 players following the dismissal of Barry McWeeney for a second yellow card in the 48th minute.

A 59th minute goal from Darren Hayden put Wicklow four points ahead after Leitrim had levelled with a point from substitute Brian McDonald six minutes earlier.
