Cadogan set to lead out Rebels

TOMORROW afternoon at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, there will be the unfamiliar sight of a Douglas man leading out the Cork senior hurling team as they open their league campaign against Offaly.

When Shane O’Neill took over the captaincy from Kieran Murphy before Christmas, Eoin Cadogan was appointed as his deputy and with the Bishopstown man out injured, the full-back assumes duty.

While admitting that he had not expected to be given such a role, he doesn’t foresee it being too much of a burden.
