The match was originally slated for Kilmallock but was moved to Monaleen in Limerick city on Sunday morning, with O’Sullivan describing the handling of the situation as “chaotic”.

“We notified the GAA on Saturday that Killmallock would not be playable in our opinion,” stated O’Sullivan, who lined out at wing-back on Sunday. “The previous Saturday we had a training session in Kilmallock and by 3.30pm, half the pitch was frozen and we knew that there was no way the game would go ahead if we had similar weather conditions. It wasn’t rocket science.
