Powerful DIT give UCC a lesson

KERRY star Paul Galvin was looking on as his new DIT team-mates displayed their Sigerson Cup credentials in stunning fashion with a clinical dismantling of UCC in the Ryan Cup final at Ballykelly last night.

Powerful DIT give UCC a lesson

Galvin will be part of the Dublin college’s panel for the third level championship when he recovers from injury and they certainly look to be amongst the favourites on this showing.

Diarmuid Connolly kicked eight points, five of which came in the first-half, and with powerful midfielder Gearoid McKiernan contributing three from play in that dominating period, DIT led 0-10 to 0-1 at half time before coasting to victory against a UCC side that had James Fitzpatrick sent off in the dying minutes.
