Corbett fights foot injury

KNOWING Lar Corbett and the vast number of injuries he has disproved down through the years, the 2010 hurler of the year could line out for his county in next month’s NHL Division One opener against Kilkenny.

However, he claims a troublesome foot injury is threatening to impact on his start to the 2011 season.

Speaking at Tipperary publican Louis Fitzgerald’s An Poitín Stil pub last Friday night, where the Liam MacCarthy Cup was being paraded, Corbett expressed his frustration at being sidelined as Tipperary go about preparing for the NHL under new manager Declan Ryan.
