All too easy for Derry

A GOAL in each half from Sean Leo McGoldrick and Paddy Bradley steered Derry to a comfortable win over Queens University in Section B of the Dr McKenna Cup at a frosty Celtic Park last night.

Queens missed a third minute penalty through James Kielt but McGoldrick’s 10th minute lob sent the Oak Leafers on their way to a 1-04 to 0-04 interval lead.

Derry steeped up the pace in the second period and Bradley’s speculative 45m effort signalled the end of the Students’ challenge.
