UL pose few issues for clinical Tipperary

A POWERFUL second-half display from Tipperary against University of Limerick yesterday saw the Premier County book a McGrath Cup quarter-final date with Waterford next Sunday.

Tipperary ran up a big score in their first competitive outing of the new season and landed ten points in the second half to see off the spirited students by seven points.

A run of seven unanswered points during the second half provided the platform for victory as forward Brian Mulvihill and Barry Grogan chipped in with a combined tally of 1-9.
