Kerry host champions in league kick-off
The championships are not set to properly kick into gear until a few weeks later with All-Ireland football champions Cork facing Clare in Páirc Uí Chaoimh in the Munster senior football semi-final on May 22 and All-Ireland hurling winners Tipperary in action a week later when they face Cork in Semple Stadium.
2010 Leinster football champions Meath and this year’s Ulster winners Tyrone are both out in action for the first time on Sunday June 5. While in hurling Munster champions Waterford face Limerick in their provincial semi-final on June 12 and Brian Cody’s Kilkenny side will have to wait until June 18 for their 2011 championship debut in the Leinster semi-final.
